Rowena Peverell (b. 10th century) was an Scotish pure-blood witch, She was the ancestor of Antioch, Cadmus, and Ignotus Peverell, who was the secret love of Merlin Macklyn and the bioalogical mother of Malachai. In order to keep there son secret Merlin gave him to one of the local familys. Mr and Mrs Durbridge were a Muggle family that could not have children of there own, so when they opened the door to see Merlin holding the boy they were both exited.
